Finished reading Emma, a manga of interclass romance in turn of the century England. Sort of a Pride and Prejudice for weeaboos. It might have been Pride and Prejudice for all I know, but you put words and pictures together, and I'll read any damned thing.
The Kraut couple were the best part. Really affectionate with one another, a strong counterpoint to the Brits in the book. Also, full frontal nudity, that being the kind of thing that you've got to put in here and there to secure a certain kind of readership.
If you like, you can engage the miscreant in yourself and read the story on the
interweb , streaming piping hot like a row of sausages fresh from the grinder.
One thing that bugged me; the story would have been a lot shorter if it had taken place in France instead of England. I don't think they'd have made it past 12 issues. Here, I present the climax to this alternate ending.
"Father, I know you won't like it, but I'm in love with Emma!"
"What, the domestic? Yeah, okay, fine, whatever."
"But father, I've already promised to marry Elanore!"
"What? Yeah, that's fine too, I guess. You should introduce the two of them, maybe they'd like to hang out and play cards some time or something."
AND EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER. THE END.

Manga and anime always add some twists to the European cultures.
@The_Rebelious_Guy@xanga - I agree
I enjoyed reading Jane Austen's Emma! So there's currently a manga version out there? It looks like from the manga version they've taken liberties with Jane Austen. Emma wasn't a domestic maid in the original story.
Haven't read that kind of thing in a while, but I'll look it up, definitely sounds interesting. Good review. :)
Lovely Xanga :)
Heh. I saw the anime version.
LOL you know how to make a twist to the story.
I don't read mangas, but I do watch some animes.
I haven't been reading any manga or watch anime in a long time.
